This gorgeous piece of heavy-textured canvas artwork draws inspiration from the famous proverb "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned", adapted from the tragic play from the late-1600s by the famous English playwright – William Congreve, called The Mourning Bride. Drawing the inference from the play, this painting depicts a woman whose emotions, that were once filled with the sparkle of love & affection, have now transformed into a scorching lava bubble of rage & betrayal. However, the viciousness of the lava is temporary because once it touches the earth/ocean surface, it eventually cools down to form new land for us to build houses on! Moreover, the volcanic soil eventually transforms to be more fertile than our regular earth soil. The reason behind this geology lesson is to exemplify the fact that the feeling of being scorned is just temporary, and one often becomes more mature, stronger, and goes on to play an important role in their social eco-system, eventually.
This painting would make a wonderful gift to someone who's been recently scorned; someone who wants some space & doesn't want a ton of expert advice from people. However, he/she can benefit from a subtle & constant encouragement through this painting, reminding them always that not only is this a temporary phase, but also that there's a light at the end of the tunnel, and this phase will only transform him/her into a better version of themselves. You can customize this artwork for Free to make this figure look like a man's as well (women can break hearts too, you know!).
