The SOTA Experience

Abstract Expressionism
This was an American art movement between late-1940s & mid-1950s mostly in NY, USA. Abstract expressionists create abstract arts that are both expressive & emotive. Being spontaneous in nature, this type of art form exhibits the subconscious mind-state of the artist at the very point of creating the art. This gives beholders & buyers an uncanny insight into an artist’s psyche. Inspired by surrealism, this art-form began as a cultural movement in Europe, in the aftermath of World War I.
